A Wandering Romantic

November 22nd, 2017 will be a defining date in my life: I am leaving the safety of my current home and stretching out to meet my onrushing future. As luck would have it, my future is re-imagining my past. It is not without trepidation that I am taking a step backward into the future as Asia is my destination. This page will chronicle those travels. I have a plan which embraces my spiritual pathway and where I need to be to unlock the insight that my soul is driving me to uncover. There will be lots of pictures and short notes. People to meet. It will be an adventure: I hope that you will come with me as I chronicle this tale. It will be interesting and - perhaps - challenging. We shall see.

Writing as a cathartic exercise

I have found, as I write, that I begin to examine in more detail those ideas that have lain around in my mental attic for far too long, gathering an aura about them which sometimes is not helpful to my spiritual progress. There in black and white, on a previously blank sheet of paper, are the invisible elements of your persona that need to be aired and either discarded or used with effect ....

Murphys Law!  If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong ...  but I am more taken with the inverse ........... If something does go right, subsequent events will show that it would have been better if it had gone wrong!

Intention? There Is No Try! Do!

It became crystal clear that if you want to manifest anything in your life that there is one important thing you have to do.  You have to focus on the question and then 'ask'. This is the power of intention. Ask to be shown the bigger picture and then, as the power of synchronicity kicks in, situations, events and people will start to appear to give you the direction and information that you are seeking through conscious intention, reflective meditation or even more formal prayer. At various times of the quest that followed the asking of the question, I have probably employed all three practices in order to aid the process. There is nothing unusual about this as you will find if you merely browse through any book store as it is a practice that is reflected in the great eastern religions through to new age thinking, the law of attraction and The Secret.
